Yukon Dall/Fannin Sheep 10844

This Outfitter offers a traditional horse and backpack hunt to get you deep into sheep country. You can expect to see a range of color in the Fannin sheep all throughout the season. They strive to harvest mature Rams with average horn length of 37″. Success rates are about 75%, but if you are in good physical condition and able to put on some miles your success rate jumps up into 90%. These Rams are found in rugged terrain and hanging out in elevations of 4,000-6,000 feet. Horses take you from camp to sheep terrain and then its backpacks from there. Some long horse rides can be expected. Cabins are spread out through your hunting area but you can expect to travel with a spike camp to be ensure you can stay close to the sheep.
