Wyoming Bull Elk Hunt 10781
Choosing this elk hunt will offer many different opportunities to fill that tag you have so patiently waited 13 to 16 years to draw. The first being an archery hunt Sept 1st thru the 27th from one of this outfitter’s Wilderness camps. The high camp is only a 3 hr horseback ride from the trailhead located only minutes from the Lodge. You will be riding daily from camp and hunting in area 63 and 64 which is some of the best elk hunting in all the West. You will be hunting thru many 300-320 class bulls looking for that larger something special. Guides will always find these larger bulls, but they do require a physically fit hunter to harvest successfully.
If you’re looking for a Lodge-style archery hunt you can stay at the Ranch and hunt daily on the Ranch or our neighboring properties.
Rifle season begins October 1st and ends the 21st of October. This outfitter transitions from archery in the high camps beginning on Sept 30th and generally hunt the first 2 weeks of the rifle season. The “Weather and then the Weather” is the element no one can control so which hunt is better? When snow comes to the high country the elk start moving down. If the snow has not piled up in the high country the elk tend to stay up high. This outfitter is fortunate to have exclusive hunting rights on over 32,000 acres of the best private ranch properties in area 62 and 63. When weather pushes the herds down from the high country, they begin accumulating elk!
On the exclusive private land bull hunts you leave the Lodge each morning in new heated UTV vehicles, and this is a spot and stock hunt. This is a one-on-one hunt with a seasoned guide on ranch properties. In most cases you will not see another hunter. You will be hunting thru many 300-320 class bulls looking for that larger something special. The elk are moving thru this time of year and every day a new bull can present a new opportunity.
