Manitoba Moose Hunt 10133
$11,500
This Manitoba Moose Hunt consistently ranks as one of Canada’s most successful moose operations, boasting impressive harvest statistics exceeding 95% year after year. With an annual roster of around 30 hunters and two hunts spanning from the last week of September to the first week in October, this sprawling hunting ground is a model of sustainable management practices, maintaining a thriving moose population.
Contrary to common assumptions, interior Canada doesn’t equate to smaller moose, and this hunt is a testament to that fact. Here, the average bull taken measures close to 51 inches, with some extraordinary specimens reaching the coveted 60-inch mark. What truly sets this adventure apart is its exceptional success rate and above-average trophies, all at a fraction of the cost compared to most Alaska and Yukon hunts. Space is limited, so advanced bookings are highly recommended.
The journey begins with round-trip airfare included from Thompson, Manitoba. Upon arrival at the main lodge, hunters are greeted with rifle sighting and a hearty lunch, along with an orientation to prepare for the adventure ahead. From here, hunters venture out to established camps via floatplane or boat. These camps vary from outpost cabins to more remote wilderness tent camps, all strategically positioned by lakes known for their consistent moose production. Each hunt operates on a 1×1 basis, with two guides accompanying two hunters, as well as a cook/assistant in each camp to ensure a comfortable experience. And for those who appreciate angling, excellent fishing opportunities are also readily available. Furthermore, you have the option to book a combination hunt that includes black bear, and if you hold an open big game tag, you can pursue wolves at no additional fee.
