You will look them over carefully in hopes of finding the one you are looking for. Alligators in the warm lakes and rivers of Florida are very active at night. This is the time to pursue them and attempt to get into range. A bow or crossbow is the weapon of choice to take the first shot. Once a gator is in close and the decision is made to take that animal, you will launch an arrow with a tip designed to go into the tough hide of the gator and lock inside the skin with very strong stainless steel barbs. A braided line from the tip is attached to a large float. Once hit, you fight the animal back to boat side and harpoon it to get a much heavier line attached. Once you have the gator under control a bang stick is used to finish the job. There is detailed session before the hunt so hunters are comfortable with all the equipment used during the hunt. Hunting a predator in its element at night is a true adrenaline rush and unforgettable experience. A private ranch trophy hunt is also avaible. Hunts on the private ranch are priced with gators under 9 feet at $2,300 and those trophies over 9 feet in length are $3,400. These high success hunts are one alligator over 2 days of hunting.
