My good friend J.R. and I just returned from our first Montana mule deer hunt and we had an absolutely incredible trip. We worked with Jim Duberowski on this and started planning more than a year in advance. Jim was was super honest, very knowledgeable, and he didn’t sugar coat anything or paint unrealistic expectations. From the very beginning Jim talked to both of us us on conference call and asked us the questions to clearly understand our goals and expectations so he could help us pick the proper destination to meet them. Everything went as smooth as could be. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and hardworking. All the equipment was top notch. The food was good. We saw a lot of game, and we were able to get plenty close for good shot opportunities. There is not much more I could say except we would wholeheartedly recommend this trip. Especially to any “first timers” going for mule deer. They’re such a majestic animal and what a gorgeous ranch! Definitely have to thank Trapper Dave and also Harry for keeping his lease costs down in a range us blue collar workers can afford. We couldn’t have been more pleased.
