Wyoming Elk Hunt 10631
$6,995
This Wyoming Elk Hunt along the Greys River is home to monster mule deer, elk and moose. In fact, this area produces more record book mule deer than anywhere else in Wyoming and is in the top five worldwide for its trophy mulies. If you are looking for a trophy of a lifetime, you must consider the Greys River region in western Wyoming.
This outfitter is the only lodge along the Greys River. Hunters enjoy individual heated sleeping cabins and private baths in an idyllic mountain setting. The lodge has a large commercial kitchen, spacious dining area and a living room for relaxing. This might be one of the most comfortable hunting camps you’ve ever experienced. More importantly, it’s surrounded by trophy big game country. Horsepower is the key to hunting this rugged Greys River country, and there is plenty of it. The horses are veterans of the trails and proven partners on these hunts. There is enough stock that you’ll never have to ride the same horse two days in a row. They get plenty of rest in the pastures.
The Greys River is home to a large, resident Elk herd. This herd is growing and has continued to increase over the last couple of years. A high bull-to-cow ratio means good odds for success. The elk hunts are not quite as physical as the mule deer hunts, since you don’t have to pursue elk as high into the mountains. However, it’s still a good idea to be physically fit for this hunt. A typical day is spent glassing, riding and hiking to different areas looking for elk. The license draw odds for Elk are good; in fact, you can draw an elk license with no points using a special license. If you have 2 or more preference points for elk, license draw odds are 100% using the regular license.
