This New Mexico Mountain Lion Hunt takes place on the slopes of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in Northern New Mexico on private ranches totaling more than 60,000 acres. This is a small family owned and operated outfitter. They’ve spent their lives on these properties and know them well. They will make you feel like part of the family in their home which provides for comfortable accommodations where you will relax and enjoy home cooked meals. With more than 20 years of lion hunting experience and pack of hounds from a superior pedigree your odds at treeing a cat are in your favor. To maximize success, they limit these hunts to fresh snow fall. No dry ground hunts are offered. Hunters need to have a flexible schedule as they will be “on call” and when the snow flies the hounds will go to work. Mature toms will be targeted. Mountain lion hunts can be long and laborious but also very rewarding.
