One of our best outfitters in New Mexico just picked up a new ranch which will add two tags to the mix this year. If you missed your opportunity earlier this year here is your chance for a good rifle elk hunt with prime dates.
This rifle elk hunt takes place in the renowned Catron County, New Mexico, one of the best counties in the country for elk hunting. This is a private land hunt in Unit 12. This unit is immediately north of the famous Gila National Forest. Landowner tags are included on this hunt making this is an over-the-counter tag with no draw required. You will stay in a comfortable and newly built lodge. This is not a physically demanding hunt, as the terrain does not vary greatly in elevation. Hunts take place in early October, typically making this rifle hunt a bugle hunt, and a high success hunt at that. This is one of our most popular outfitters. Honest, hardworking, and very good at finding elk for our clients. Expect elk in the 270-300 class with opportunities for bigger, after all this is southwest New Mexico. 2×1 Guide Service. First come, first served.
