Scott just returned from hosting a group of 12 at our preferred Missouri Waterfowl destination. This is our third year in a row hosting a group here, and we will be doing it again next year.
From the moment you walk into the lodge, you will recognize you are in good hands. The lodge bar is stocked with beer, wine, and appetizers for your enjoyment. This makes a perfect place to socialize while you wait for a tantalizing dinner to start things off. Our recent group was treated with prime rib, ribeyes, and pizzas, thanks to an amazing chef. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also excellent and plentiful. The lodge is very clean and comfortable with Wi-Fi and big screen TVs perfect for watching football during your afternoon downtime!
But what really makes the place so special, is the birds. The guys were hunting in between three major waterfowl refuges. This strategic location, coupled with extensive habitat development, puts hunters in close proximity to hundreds of thousands of mallards this time of year. They hunted from pit blinds in flooded corn fields as well as custom built blinds nestled into the flooded timber. They had some really great shoots and saw tons of birds. While mallards were the focus on this hunt, they were also rewarded with some bonus birds including widgeon, wood ducks, spoon bills, and geese. If you get excited about big greenheads shimmering in the sunlight, wings set as they glide down into flooded timber, then this hunt is for you.
If you like being spoiled, but want to hunt earlier in the year or prefer field hunts with mixed bags, this same outfitter also offers a truly inclusive hunt in Saskatchewan. Just show up with you clothes, everything else is provided.
Space is very limited as repeat bookings run exceptionally high here. Don’t wait to claim your spots.
