This Manitoba Caribou hunt takes place just below the Nunavut border. Here lies a remote camp situated in the heart of the migration route of the Qamanirjuaq herd, one of the healthiest caribou herds in the world. This is one of the few remaining areas allowing the harvest of 2 bulls per hunter. This is a good area for bow hunters with small stands of spruce and dwarf birch for cover. Primarily they hunt for caribou by boat or foot, while hunting can be done in as little as a mile from camp you should expect to do a fair amount of walking. There are boats and motors available for those who want to cover more area with a bit less walking. Just a few yards from the camp, the avid Sportsman can indulge in some excellent fishing for Manitoba Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling. A ptarmigan license can also be purchased at camp if hunters decide to do some bird hunting. Wolf can be taken on an opportunity basis at no additional charge if a hunter has an open big game tag. There will be a maximum of 6 hunters in camp.
