Idaho Elk Hunt – Craig Golkowski

Unfortunately I did not harvest a bull on this trip.  We had an opportunity on the last day but just couldn’t quite get it done.  This was a physically and mentally challenging hunt but we kept grinding away. This was the most physical and steep terrain I have ever hunted, but as long as I can still get  around I plan to go back every other year.   There were not a ton of elk but they were there, ultimately it was hard to pull the elk away from the bigger herds.  Our guide Dan was amazing and made the trip, he is a big reason we are going back.  Overall experience, 5 out of 5!
