Due to Canadian wildfires earlier this month, the spring bear hunts at our exclusive lodge in northern Manitoba were canceled as evacuation orders were put in place for the area. Thankfully, the lodge and the surrounding region were spared, and operations have resumed in full! In fact, we just had a fishing group return, and everything is operating at a high level as always.
Our spring bear hunters were graciously allowed to reschedule their trips for 2026, but in the meantime, the lodge was able to retain their 2025 black bear tag allocation.
So…we’re just a little bit excited to offer this incredible adventure as a fall hunt in 2025! And wait, there’s more—since this is somewhat short notice, they’re offering it at a greatly reduced price. You’ll save $1,000 off the regular spring hunt rate!
We really like this fall hunt option. Shorter days mean you are back at the lodge at a decent hour, the bugs are usually not as bad, and the bears are going to be significantly heavier!
Manitoba Fly-In Adventure has it all…
This is an incredible value. For the cost of a really good fly-in fishing trip, you get the lodge, the meals, the fishing, AND you get to hunt for black bear in an area that has seen very limited hunting pressure. What’s more, your round-trip airfare is included in the price from Winnipeg on. The flight is non-stop from Winnipeg on an amphibious airplane that can make a water landing right in front of the lodge. (Depending on group size, sometimes they utilize a short stopover at Snow Lake and helicopter in)
This lake system is very large, and the bear population is in excellent shape. Comfortable stands and active baits will provide high opportunities for mature bears. Bears were frequenting the baits prior to the cancellation.
The fishing speaks for itself. It’s not uncommon to boat 100 walleyes in a day, and chances at 40-inch-plus pike are abundant as well. Classic shore lunch is always a hit, and there are chef-prepared meals at the lodge. Enjoy comfortable modern cabins right by the main lodge makes this feel like a vacation as much as a hunt.
