This is a small operation with a hands-on owner/operator. He has an exclusive guiding area in the central Yukon River basin of nearly 1 million acres, boasting over 200 miles of river to hunt along. He has been guiding this area for over 25 years. Hunters need to overnight in Fairbanks. Charter flights are approximately 2 hours via Beaver.
The hunting is from motorized canoes or rafts. You can expect to find a good number of bulls and they target 60″ class bulls with some high 60s taken. Calling is usually very effective on these dates. All hunts are guided 1×1 and can be completely separate or two hunters can hunt the same mountain drainage if they prefer to share in the experience. Black Bear and Grizzly can be taken on an opportunity basis and harvest fee—no fee on wolves.
