South Dakota Spring Snow Goose Hunt 10336

$475.00

Our outfitter has been operating in this area since 2006. The areas that you will hunt are very consistent at producing very good hunting. During the spring migration you will get to see hundreds of thousands of staging Snow, Blue, and Ross geese, as well as countless other migrating flocks traveling through. While on your spring snow goose hunt you will also get to see numerous other species of waterfowl. While birds are not guaranteed, your snow goose hunting guides will do their very best to get you on a great shoot. This is fair chase hunting, big days do occur, and so do zero’s; but they will do their very best to get you on the hunt of a lifetime. An average day is 25-30 birds per field per day. The hunting package is set up for a two and a half day hunt which allows you to spend a great amount of time in the field. It is not uncommon to harvest more birds in one day in the spring than you did your whole waterfowl season. Hunts are performed over large decoy spreads of Deadly Decoy windsocks. They also use flyers and rotary machines. Each hunter will have their own Hunters Specialties Hitman layout blind that provides comfort and warmth while staying concealed and mobile. They utilize electronic callers, which produce very clear, realistic sounds to lure the geese in close. Groups must be a minimum of 6 to have your own field. Well trained dogs are welcome. The price does NOT include lodging, food, license, gratuity, or bird cleaning. Hunts start a half hour before sunrise and end at legal shooting time, except your last day which ends at 12:00 noon.
