Nestled in the heart of Mackenzie Mountains of the Northwest Territories, this outfitter offers hunts for trophy Dall Sheep, Mountain Caribou, and Alaska/Yukon Moose. This exclusive guide area encompasses 11,000 square miles of untouched wilderness. The terrain is vast, remote, and challenging with peaks topping out at 9,000 feet. Throughout are fast moving rivers, pristine lakes, and abundant wildlife. Hunts are backpack or helicopter assisted. You can hunt a single species or choose a combination hunt starting in July through the end of September. Single Species hunts are 10 days in length. You can hunt the NWT slam on a 14 day adventure. This area is best known for its great Dall sheep hunting but caribou populations are abundant as well and some terrific Moose are taken from this area each year. This outfitter has a very good reputation and extensive experience in the Mackenzie Mountains. Point of arrival is Norman Wells via Edmonton. From Norman Wells, you will take a fixed wing charter into base camp. Base camp consists of cabins and cook houses situated on a beautiful clear water lake in the middle of a wide valley. All around you are wide open spaces with spectacular vistas, untouched creeks, rivers, lakes, and rolling mountain ranges. From base camp, you will be transported via helicopter or bush plane to a drop off point in the far reaches of the concessions where your hunting adventure will begin as you and your guide will set out on foot from your spike camp in search of your trophy.
